On May 17th and 18th, 2025, we held our 3rd annual Sherwood Manor yard sale. The turn out was not what we had hoped for. We would like to make the garage sale an annual event that happens on the same weekend each year. We hope having a set weekend will enable the sellers to prepare and the buyers to mark their calendars and attend.
We’ve done some exploring and don’t see any obvious national or religious holiday conflicts for the last weekend in February, the 1st weekend in March, the 1st or 3rd weekend in May or the 1st weekend in June. In your email, please let us know any other ideas you may have that could help make this event a success.
National Night Out is celebrated annually on the first Tuesday in August in over 16,000 communities in all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases around the world. NNO encourages police and community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
Join us at the Sherwood pool, 100 W. Robinhood Drive, on August 5th from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. Meet your neighbors, local police, firefighters, and representatives of the city council and county supervisor’s office. Get information on local programs and enjoy food and wares from local vendors.

Holiday Decorating Contest
Since 2003, Sherwood residents have participated in an annual holiday decorating contest. Each year a team of volunteers travels through Sherwood and chooses 8 contest winners, 4 homes on the east side of El Dorado Street and 4 on the west side. Participating households bring added joy to the season! Look for more information in the fall/winter newsletter.
