Sherwood’s neighborhood yard sale in 2027 will be April 17th & 18th from 9 am to 3 pm. We are hoping to grow this event by holding the sale on the same weekend annually. In 2027, National Night Out is Tuesday, August 3rd. National Night Out is celebrated annually on the first Tuesday in August in over 16,000 communities in all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases around the world. It is an opportunity for neighbors to get to know each other and connect with local law enforcement, fire fighters and city officials through neighborhood block parties and community events.

Fall & Winter Fun

The second one said, “There are witches in the air.” The third one said, “But we don’t care.” The fourth one said, “Let’s run and run and run!” The fifth one said, “I’m ready for some fun.” Then “oooh” went the wind, and out went the light, and the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight!

2026 Holiday Decorating Contest
Since 2003, Sherwood residents have participated in an annual holiday decorating contest and brought added joy to the season! Each year a small group of volunteers travels through Sherwood and chooses 8 contest winners, 4 homes on the east side of El Dorado Street and 4 on the west side. Judges present winners with a certificate as well as an appreciation gift from SMHA. If you and a few family members or friends are interested in being contest judges this year, please let us know. Judging in 2026 will be done the week of December 14th. Please have your lights on by 6 PM.
